Normally, there will be a vote as to which book will be discussed. I will provide several options, and, based upon responses, I'll see which one appears to inspire the most interest. However, for the first book discussion, I want to use the same book that I'm going to be discussing for class. I felt that it would add a compelling dynamic if I could take comments from here and share them with my classmates, perhaps even referring them back to the blog to see and read for themselves. However, to do this, I'm going to need your help.
The Book: The Book Thief by Markus Zusak Discussion Dates: October 14th through October 21st (Seeing as how my class will be discussing the work on the 21st, I thought I'd give us a week here to talk about it beforehand.) Format: I'll start the discussion off by putting up the first post with my own initial thoughts and opinions on the 14th. You'll then go to that post and add your own thoughts, opinions, and responses. Hopefully, if this works the way I want it to, we'll get a back and forth discourse flowing. Also, the same set-up will be provided on the archive if you would rather leave a comment there instead. Links to both posts will be provided.
For now, I'm planning on one book discussion per month, but this will be re-examined after the blog (and archive) have a chance to really get cooking.
Happy reading!

To celebrate the release of two upcoming MUST-READ books, I thought we'd attempt to hold another book discussion. Okay, so another two book discussions.
January:
Bloody Valentine (#6 in the Blue Bloods Series) by Melissa de la Cruz
February:
Shadowfever (#5 and Final in the Fever Series) by Karen Marie Moning
Both of these books will be brand new releases (December 28th and January 18th respectfully). I already have my copies pre-ordered, but we'll keep the book discussions open all month. As promptly as possible, I'll post a thread for discussion at the beginning of January for Bloody Valentine and one at the beginning of February for Shadowfever, and posts/comments will be welcomed throughout the entire assigned months.
I hope, this time, some of you join me!
